There is some question regarding Olivetti serial numbers for machines produced in different factories. A user of the Database in Spain notes that all of his Spanish-made Olivettis have serial numbers that do not fit the existing serial number list in any logical manner:http://typewriterdatabase.com/typewriters.php?hunter_search=139
Looks like I'll have to carbon date the platen rubber then. Whenever it was built, it is a great machine.
