Good stuff (wonders of the global online...)Recognize the skipping tendency of these - I think Mr George G Going designed a very sensitive escapement that is rather too keen to get going a space too far! Staccato typing helps still have to try a thorough cleaning to see if that helps it.
I think you are right - that's a hair trigger. A clean would certainly help and, looking back at old typescripts, this problem is new. Maybe it gets better with use?
