  1. When you write a letter to a columnist ... expect to be published!

I enjoyed your reflections on various forms of writing.

    1. Absolutely, I was under no illusions and I'm really pleased about it - just the initial reality of being published caught me off-guard and it was interesting to figure out why.

  2. Rob, what's in print is a lovely column. You should warn Wallingford tourist office to expect a deluge of enquiries from Orange County.

From me, too. How I miss dogs, apples, English mud.

    1. The volunteers down at the town information centre will be run off their feet. We do get our share of visitors passing through on the river.

  3. Score! I only got a half a column inch, and I made him a rich man in Hell. :D

  4. That feeling is exactly why I haven't given him my real name yet and am very precocious in my letters. Must indeed feel really strange being quoted that way. Even when you expect it.

Happy you are still writing your own "columns". They are very pleasant to read!

  5. Here's the thing ... I love hearing from all of you. You're great writers, and I hope you keep sending me your well-considered missives. I will write about all of our correspondence with great care. Keep the letters flowing.
