It's exciting to think how people have been walking those very paths for thousands of years. We don't have nearly as many artifacts like these in America (although we do have ancient burial mounds which I would like to see some time). I grew up along US-12, "Sauk Trail", which had probably been used for thousands of years, but there was of course no sign of the past on the modern highway other than the general route.
Very interesting and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tour, and photos, Rob.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and typescript. Looks very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve - between the visitors it is as quiet as the grave
DeleteQuite beautiful, and well written. Thanks!
