  1. Very good points on Richard's book.
I have yet to write a proper review. I have read so many good reviews on line I feel like taking one or two points from each to compile into my own, but that would be plagiarism at its worst.

Wish I could report enjoying the last new beer I tried.

    Happy New Year Rob!

  3. I've always liked "Weltanschauung" but haven't had much chance to use it (until now).

    1. Steve, I like that. A German compound word with two adjacent 'u's and might slip in when paradigm takes a break?

  4. That techno is always eye catching bc while it is still familiar there are secrets within its structure.
anyways, i have yet to get the book but i imagine that Richard may address some of the more controversial topics diplomatically, and no doubt shrewedly erudite throughout, he'll save those finer points for his blog.
Rob, youve inspired me to grab a beer!

  5. I have an Olympia SG 3 with the same square type style that your awesome Hermes 3000...xD

Yes, the book that Richard wrote is amazing indeed. It's highly recommended in case of tricky, naughty or evil "repairmen" who just want to deceive you when you need a tuned-up, refurbished or formed typewriter... Well, those situations are common in Mexico, my country...xD

You can verify my typecasts look as "techno" as your in my blog:

    1. Thanks for visiting. Your typing is very neat, I'm impressed! Then again, the SG is a big machine and should help with that. I think book is quite empowering to people who might be a little unconfident in attempting a repair or even what to watch out for.
