I think this is a wonderful service you offer, and I am glad that people are making use of it! I recently used my Olympia SM9 for typing out the 'thank you' cards for our recent wedding, along with typing all of the envelopes for Leila's resumes. I must say, it does take a while when you realize that you CANNOT make a mistake. I only had about fifty 'thank you' cards to type up, but it took over two hours, and at the end of it I did not even feel up to typing the envelopes. Those were, unfortunately, handwritten. Great to hear that people still see the value of a typewritten letter!
Oddly, I found a ton of people offering this service at fiverr.com. I was a bit astonished when I looked for typewriter related services and found a ton of people offering this...
Hi Deek, I could only find one similar (100 words max) and fixed price did not include postage "anywhere in the world". Loads of people will type for cash - very few will do it on a manual typewriter and actually post the hard copy. The devil's in the detail. Plus, Type-O-Matic is guaranteed 100% confidential. Hope you are well.
Great idea - you could try advertising at wedding fairs as typewritten is the new thing for US weddings (according to Pinterest). But a ton of orders would take the fun out of it I suppose.
Thanks, I was wondering how things were going with Type-O-Matic.
ReplyDeleteSure is an odd way to send a love letter ...
Well, you Americans have strange customs :-) It was of an apology/love letter combination.
DeleteGood to hear Type-O-Matic is still at work.

I'll chime-in... what a service. It's so quirky and interesting, I could imagine it as a movie.
