  1. Thanks Rob! These are awesome! I look forward to much cutting and gluing this weekend.

Do you take requests? I'd love a little version of my beloved Underwood #4 (a #5 would also be acceptable). I wonder how an Oliver would look after being given the cube tratment.

My wife doesn't know it yet, but I think this year our Christmas tree will be sporting several cubic typewriters among the ornaments!

    1. Peter, sorry, I don't HAVE an U5 or U4. Only portable Underwoods. But if you'd like to ship your's over I'll gladly take some snaps. But seriously, if you can see it in my galleries (at top of this page) I have it and I can try.

    2. Ah well, thanks all the same, Rob. It's probably not cost effective to ship the monster to the Blessed Plot. In the meantime, I'll wait hopefully for your Noisless 77, which I also have.

In case you run out of your own machines, I could always send some decent, studio lit photos of my U4. Perhaps a set of straight on views similar to this:

    3. Mmm, The Noiseless 77 sounds like a ninja character out of Pulp Fiction. I'll try to find mine - might take a couple of days! You are very welcome to send photos - it takes 6, each taken with the same exposure and lit as flatly as possible and taken as 'square-on' as possible to avoid converging perspective. 55mm (35mm format equivalent) min. focal length.

    4. Yep, like those of your U5 but centre the fram on each of the 6 'faces' of the machine. If you use a tripod, you'll be able to set the lens on f22 to get everything front to back in focus.

  2. Looks like this year's holiday tree is getting a few typers on it, since I'm temporarily banned from putting any more under it (for myself.)

  3. I really like all these paper machines. This is perhaps the only way I will get a nice SM2.
