  1. That spoon came out beautiful!
    In Nederland we say "naaldhout" - needlewood - for softwood; and indeed, some softwood is not soft at all. Then again, not all needlewood trees have needles - like agathis or parana pine. Whatever it is, the woodgrain is beautiful.

  3. It is beautiful wood but there's a whisper that not only the seeds and leaves are poisonous but the wood also. I can't see it being a problem myself.
