This is a super interesting video. But can you believe it they do not mention the date, or have I overheard something? Someone looking at this video in five years time will have no idea about the exact day. So can we put down Tuesday, Nov. 20th, 2012 AD?
Georg, I sort of thought I had dated it by captioning as "this morning's" show on a dated blog post. The programme is longer than three hours so this is just a 5 minute extract.
Thanks for posting this video! I noticed that the sign-language-speaker made the movement you perform when returning a carriage - just from the right to the left - around 0:06, just when "The Typewriter" starts to play.
Thanks for the video. Priceless.

DeleteThe Guardian reports that the machine was made on Friday, 12pm (sic!).
DeleteIt will be thanks to your post that people can date it in the years to come - provided the internet is still up and running then.

ReplyDeleteThe newscaster's typing technique was abysmal; no wonder he was having trouble with keys jamming! ;-) Very enjoyable video, thanks for sharing.
